"Cast me not off in the time of old age, forsake me not when my strength faileth" Psalm 71:9 |
November NewsLetter
Hope this letter finds everyone in good health and rejoicing in the Lord for
He is good! Usually after we have services in the nursing home, I will come home and write about the services. I have been forgetting, I need much prayer about this issue.....So I will update you, by memory, on a few of the services that we have conducted. 11-13-Life Care Center- We had a great service and had 8 people all together (including David and I) from Temple Baptist Church. We have learned that Bro
Watkins has started a bible study, right there in Life Care Centers Nursing
Home. That is such a blessing, he is still being used of God at 100 yrs. of
age!!! Praise the Lord!! Please pray for him as he is still battling
pneumonia. 11-18-Cedar Hills- Today David had training and had to miss the service. Sis. Gracie, Sis Creamer, Sis Betty and Sis Teresa from the church were there to help me with the services praise the Lord!!! Harriet suggested that she go and ask a lady in the Nursing Home to play the piano since we had no music. She hadn't played in awhile and played a little slower than our usual singing; but God was glorified in her effort's. The services started off rather slow, but we ended up having a great service! We sang spiritual songs, Sis Betty sang a special, and then we sang folk songs (that they use to sing back in their days like, my Bonnie lies over the ocean, the doggie in the window, Old McDonald, and she'll be
coming around the mountain). We had a great time trying to remember she'll be
comin' around the mountain. And the residents laughed along with us, but we had the best time, we were all laughing. I gave a short devotion and as always, I gave a clear presentation of the plan of salvation (in case there may be one in need of salvation). 11-20-Alterra- We had a wonderful service here at Alterra. I took some good pictures of our service and some of the residents to put on our website.
Don't forget to look at our website. 11-25-Cedar Hills- The service today was good. All of our friends were there to help in the singing. Ralph was back and doing good. He really enjoys the
services. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving. We thank the Lord for his blessings and everything He is doing in the ministry. Prayer Request: Souls saved in the nursing homes; Our Family; Direction for the ministry. In Christ, Love in Christ, David, Pat & Rachel |
