"Cast me not off in the time of old age, forsake me not when my strength faileth" Psalm 71:9 |
July NewsLetter Hope this letter finds everyone well. Our ministry is still going good, and the Lord is blessing. The residents at Cedar Hills are so thrilled when we come and bring other ladies from the church with us. There are a few new residents at Cedar Hills and Ms. Harriet Cooney is the welcoming committee and she usually brings them to the service. David brings encouraging and uplifting messages to the residents. I'm not working now so I have a little more time to spend with the residents after the service. I went with Ms. Cooney to her room to see the coasters she is making and selling. I ordered a set of coasters from her with orange and green. They have Jesus and Praise him and different spiritual words on them. She is back logged on making them. We went to Life Care Center and the ladies came to help me sing. I just can't thank these ladies enough for coming to help us and support us in our ministry. They are being used of the Lord and the residents love to see them come and when they are not with us they always ask about the ladies from the church. I have missed a few services this month, but the ladies of the church were there to help David out. A lady in our church gave us a walker and we took it to Mrs. Butler who had broken her hip so she was in need of a walker. Mrs. Butler was grateful. David also did a few hospital visits, one to Mrs. Butler and the other was Melda. Melda said to me last week to tell David thank you for coming to see her while she was in the hospital, that it meant so much to her. Melda is a writer. She writes poems and we purchased a book of her poems. During services I will read a couple of them and her face lights up when I share them during the service. I can only imagine how good it feels to them to be recognized and feel important. Back at Cedar Hills on the 22nd, we had a good crowed. We had a number of prayer request. We saw some faces that haven't been there in a while, it was good to see them back. There are 5 weeks in July and we don't go to the nursing homes when there is a 5th week. Pray for: Residents in nursing homes; salvation for residents; our family; Rachel as she starts back to school. In Christ, Pat, David & Rachel Sounds of Joy Ministries Ministry Family 446 Halsema Rd.
