It is the ultimate and consummate reminder that we are a creation – His VERY BEST creation - and that this creation is completely salvageable despite our inherent evil – and that God went through a great ordeal to ensure our place with Him in eternity through this suffering. Moreover, on a philosophical note, God proved Himself to us by make such bold prediction in great detail, precision and with incalculable odds that he would suffer such a fate. There is not one act in this life that we can accomplish which could potentially surpass or would at any time supersede this single premise of salvation. To this follower, this particular verse serves as both a fulcrum in life and a pinnacle in eternity. Biblical Hero outside of Christ: A. Probably - Ronald Regan Why? His leadership, dogma and patriotism led to completing the task of destroying the “Iron Curtain” and to the demise of the “Evil Soviet Empire” (Something my progenitors started in November 1956).
