1. Faith is given in measures - RM 12:3 - For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
2. To be walked in - II Cor 5:7- For we walk by faith, not by sight.
3. To be sanctified in - (Jesus speaking to Saul/Paul) sent to the Gentiles to.... Acts 26:18 - To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified in faith that is in me (Jesus)
4. To be justified in - Gal 3:24 - Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
5. To be fought in - I Tim 6:12 - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed and good profession before many witnesses.
6. It is substance - Heb 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
7. Needed to please God- Heb 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
8. To be tried/more precious than gold - I Peter 1:7 - That the trial of faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
